THE CHALLENGE:

Creating dashboards from complex raw data

Total Media wanted to provide their clients with actionable insights from dynamic dashboards. The challenge was that Total Media was growing quickly and working across multiple media channels, resulting in them having a varied and complex mix of data sources. They needed a partner to assess, clean, create and manage multiple data sources and also set-up real-time dashboards in Tableau. 

THE SOLUTION:

Building custom data pipelines to extract and manage data

Our data team conducted a complete audit to understand Total Media’s current structure, data architecture, client requirements and future needs. Our technical team then built custom data pipelines and connectors to help extract the data from over 15 different sources. AWS was then used to manage the ETL processes. Crucially, the client’s own data warehouse is stored on AWS Redshift, meaning they have complete ownership of all data. Our dashboard teams researched and set-up bespoke visualizations in Tableau, creating reporting dashboards for the client to use across multiple client accounts.

In-housing data for Total Media frees up time to spend on their clients

We created a cost-efficient and smarter ongoing solution for Total Media to manage the data pipelines of their media activity. Ultimately, we helped the client in-house their own data service. Thanks to our data management work, ongoing management remains light-touch and Total Media retains full ownership of all data, custom feeds and dashboards. The client can spend more energy servicing their clients instead of troubleshooting data issues.
