Founded in 2016 as a partnership between publishing giants Hearst and Condé Nast, PubWorX provides full-service marketing and print production solutions to publishers large and small. The company offers a wide range of services aimed at supporting and streamlining editorial workflow, procurement, production, and circulation management.

THE CHALLENGE:

Establish best practices and reduce costs

PubWorX was founded as a partnership between Hearst and Condé Nast to provide full-service consumer marketing and print production solutions to the media industry. PubWorX wanted help in setting up a founding team, one that was sensitive to the cost pressures in the print industry. They needed an expert partner who could standardize processes across brands, advise on best practice and reduce operational costs.

THE SOLUTION:

Automation to drive process standardization and smarter insights

We started quickly. While PubWorX’s own team was still being formed, Theorem continued to own daily operations for email marketing. This was the framework upon which other media brands were to be supported. Theorem then worked with the newly formed PubWorX team to understand and refine the standard process for new brands. We expanded this framework to other digital offerings such as on-site marketing, customer acquisition, landing pages, microsites, social media and search engine marketing. 
 
We brought in data specialists to implement automation solutions for print media reporting and data collection from print vendors. The clean data created custom reporting solutions to bring deeper insights and drive better decisions.

THE IMPACT:

Shared infrastructure for all media brands

The successful collaboration between PubWorX’s founding team and Theorem has created an independent, full-service circulation outsourcing company that now supports over 200 media brands. The combined team worked seamlessly to implement automation solutions and provide access to cost-savings via significant economies of scale. Currently, the PubWorX team is focused on scaling up and delivering value to more publishers, while Theorem remains the backbone of the operations, supporting thousands of campaigns monthly across a variety of digital channels.
